Support Team Initiative News  

Support Teams provide practical, emotional, spiritual and quality-of-life support for people who need help with caregiving through intentionally coordinated teams of volunteers.    

Support Team Development Conferences equip team leaders to organize, orient and support volunteer caregiving Support Teams.    

Circles of Care is a new initiative to create volunteer Support Teams and provide resources especially with African Americans facing serious illness.  

Operation Compassion is helping military Servicemembers and their families across eastern North Carolina during and after deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan. 

 

Advocacy and Advance Care Planning Initiative News  

Finding Your Voice is a groundbreaking initiative around patient advocacy, advance care planning and organ/tissue donation that reaches patients, family members, healthcare students and health professionals across North Carolina.   

Getting It Together (also published as Passing On Thoughtfully) is a workbook featured in the Sunday New York Times that helps people organize legal, financial, health care and personal wishes.
